For each academic year, scholarships will be offered to one or more students. Applicatioins should be received by November 1st and soon thereafter, the Scholarship Committee will convene to decide on the recipient. A brief interview will be conducted, most likely in the Triangle area.
There are only a few requirements. North Carolina students mus be bona fide residents of this state, either a native or a resident for an appreciable number of years. They must have aat least one prominent Scottish line in their ancestry. It is expected that they will enroll in a Scottish university. The choice of university and curriculum is left to the student who must handle all arrangements with the university.
